Saint Elizabeth Community to Acquire Cathleen Naughton Associates
Saint Elizabeth Community is proud to announce that it has signed an asset purchase agreement with Cathleen Naughton Associates, a leading provider of home care in Rhode Island and is pending Rhode Island Department of Health change in effective control approval. This addition to Saint Elizabeth Community will make the organization the most comprehensive provider of care and services to seniors in the state of RI.
Cathleen Naughton Associates (CNA) provides home care that includes: skilled nursing care, rehab services (PT, OT, ST) and certified nursing assistants, and also provides geriatric care management, and concierge services. “These services complement the spectrum of care already provided by Saint Elizabeth Community” says Steven J. Horowitz, President and CEO of Saint Elizabeth Community. “Cathleen Naughton Associates is a respected provider of home health care in RI, and our mission and goals are aligned,” says Horowitz. “It’s a great fit for the organization.”
Established in 1978 by Cathleen Naughton, R.N., the business is currently managed by her daughter Caroline Naughton Rumowicz. She will continue to manage and maintain the two RI locations in Providence and Wakefield. CNA provides services to approximately 675 individuals a year and has a staff of 121, making about 17,000 home visits. Upon final health department approval, Rumowicz will join the leadership team of Saint Elizabeth Community. “Saint Elizabeth Community has a reputation for excellence,” says Rumowicz, “and we are confident that RI seniors will benefit from our decision.” She continues, “I look forward to joining the Saint Elizabeth Community team!”

Saint Elizabeth Manor- skilled nursing and short term rehab- Bristol
Saint Elizabeth Court-affordable assisted living- Providence
Cornerstone Adult Services-adult day centers- Warwick, Coventry, Bristol and Little Compton and a
specialized memory care adult day center- Warwick
Saint Elizabeth Place-affordable apartment for seniors and adults with mobility impairments- Providence
Saint Elizabeth Terrace- affordable apartment for seniors- Warwick
Cathleen Naughton Associates will be the 7th member organization with locations in Providence and Wakefield.
