Rocky Hill School Awarded 31 Diplomas on June 10
Rocky Hill School held its Commencement Exercises on Friday, June 10 at 10:00 a.m. for the 31 graduating members of the Class of 2016.
Neil Steinberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Rhode Island Foundation, addressed the Class of 2016 as Commencement Speaker.
Mary McKenney of East Greenwich, RI addressed the school community as valedictorian. Mary has been one of the top students at Rocky Hill since she entered the Upper School in the ninth grade. Since that time, she has taken eight AP courses. Last year, Mary earned the distinction of Class Scholar for the highest overall level of academic achievement. A U.S Presidential Scholar candidate, Mary will graduate Magna Cum Laude. A passionate intellectual, Mary's dedication to her academic studies are matched by equal passions for languages, literature, and science. After taking a gap year to travel throughout Africa and Asia, Mary will attend Vassar College in 2017.
