LOCAL SPONSORS STEP UP TO THE PLATE TO HELP WICKFORD LITTLE LEAGUE

    May 16, 2016
Wickford Little League, a tradition in North Kingstown for over 50 years, would like to acknowledge the incredible support of local sponsors Rob Levine & Associates, as well as South County landscaping company Hutchins Landscaping. Together with the financial support of Rob Levine & Associates and work done by Hutchins Landscaping, the batting cages at Wilson Park in North Kingstown were recently reconditioned.

Rob Levine & Associates (RLA) is a trusted and generous community partner in Rhode Island. “Giving back to the community gives me a sense of real accomplishment. To be able to help one person at a time is great. But to be able to have a larger impact by creating change or creating new programs and helping an entire community is amazing,” said Levine.

The batting cages, centrally located between the AAA and Majors baseball fields at Wilson Park, have been reconditioned and are officially opened for use. Thanks to the generous donation by community leader Rob Levine & Associates, Wickford Little League was able to move forward with the renovations. Hutchins Landscaping performed the renovations on the batting cages. This important update to community facilities comes on the heels of the announcement that Wickford Little League will host the 2016 Rhode Island District Championships, to be held this July.

Some of the programs RLA has supported includes: adopting Captain Hunt School, a nursery & kindergarten school in Central Falls, sponsoring the Ocean State Waves Summer Camp (Rob’s favorite part being the 10-12 sponsorships for city kids he provides within the sponsorship), as well as his Pawsox sponsorship, where Little League kids were brought to McCoy Stadium for batting practice and VIP tours. RLA is dedicated to “promoting kids getting outside, staying active, healthy, and safe.”
